K.I.C.
Kids In Christ

Dear Parents

It is our joy to welcome you back to our 2023-2024 KIC Program. Together, we are partners in educating your child in the Catholic Faith.

We have often heard it said or perhaps you have said it yourself, “I wish there were more hours in the day”. We know how busy family life can be and realize that Faith Formation class can often seem like “just one more thing” you have to cram into your already busy schedule. It is our hope that you will come to see it as much more than that. Your child/children will gather with other children to concentrate on what it means to be Catholic, and to lean on what the church and gospels teach us.

The purpose of our Faith Formation program is to support and accompany you on this important mission. Our team of catechists are well-equipped in this mission and with the help of the Holy Spirit, we will pass on our Catholic Faith to your children. We will do our best to teach the lessons, pray with them and involve them in activities that will build their faith, but the practice and example of you living out the faith is of equal importance.

Children need to see a connection between what they learn in class and what they experience at home. What you do and say as parents is far more important and will teach your child far more than we can in the short time we have them in class. We ask you to review the lessons taught with your child each week and share the activities with them at home. Attend Mass regularly so your child can experience being part of the parish community that worships together. Remember to pray at home as a family…before meals, at bedtime, and before important events. Remember our children learn the most valuable lessons imitating the examples set by the adults in their lives, especially their parents. This is absolutely essential to form “intentional disciples”.

If you have questions, please contact by phone (651-674-7382) or email.
May God bless your family and may His grace and peace by your in abundance.

Our 1st through 8th grade KIC program empowers children and their families to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, to develop the habits of discipleship, and to decide each day to live as followers of Christ. Our curriculum for Grades 1 -5, “Be My Disciples” is based on a balanced approach to children’s faith formation. Each lesson encourages children to explore, discover and decide! We celebrate together with special liturgies and prayers services throughout the year.

Our 6-8 grade curriculum “Chosen, This is Your Catholic Faith.” takes young people on a journey through the entire Catholic faith in all its richness and vitality. Teens will be captivated by the story, from Creation all the way through salvation history, and they will come to see how the sacraments, prayer, and discipleship are the keys to a happy life. The goal of this program is nothing short of winning over the hearts of
teens and making them disciples of Christ.

Each year, in accordance with the St. Paul and Minneapolis Archdiocese, we implement the Children and Youth Safety Instruction lessons. For more information on these standards visit the St. Paul and Minneapolis Archdiocese website.
