St. Gregory's Educational Program is a multi-faceted process of lifelong formation and education in our faith. Rooted in the Church's catechetical mission which flows from Jesus' command "Go, therefore and make disciples of all the nations" (Matthew 28:19). Our educational efforts strive to foster maturity in the Catholic Christian faith and to prepare individuals of every age for discipleship in the world.
The Religious Education program strives to fulfill the church's mission through:
- Educational and faith formation programs
- Spiritual growth and development
- Christian service activities
Our goal is to provide a basis for lifelong formation and participation in the Catholic faith. St. Gregory's offers Religious Education (RE) enrichment or educational programs for all members of the Parish. Please note the bulletin and parish web site for upcoming lectures or event.
Christian Formation Classes (CFC) for Children
We offer classes for children from preschool (age 4) through grade 10, September through mid May
***please note - you must be registered in the parish prior to registering your child in the program***
Registration is conducted in the spring of each year. Materials will be mailed to registered families in late spring/early summer, or contact the Faith Formation Office.
Basic beliefs/goals are a minimum set of beliefs, prayers, and definitions about the Catholic faith that our children are required to learn each year. The purpose of having our children learn these beliefs/goals is to provide them with specific knowledge about their Catholic faith which will lead them to greater understanding.
Children will be expected to learn the basic beliefs/goals for their grade as well as for any previous grades. Children will be asked to demonstrate their knowledge of the goals orally and in writing throughout the year. Quizzes may be given and there will be a test given at the end of the year. Families are asked to assist their child in learning these basic beliefs/goals at home each week throughout the year. Please let us know if your child has a learning disability or special needs for testing.
